The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners

The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners consists of nine members appointed by the Governor. Members are appointed to serve a four-year term and may not serve more than two consecutive full terms. Six members of the board must be persons licensed to practice medicine in this state, are actually engaged in the practice of medicine in this state and have resided and practiced medicine in this state for at least five years preceding their respective appointments. The remaining three members must not be persons licensed to practice medicine in any state and must have resided in this state for at least five years preceding their respective appointments.
