The Investigative Committee of the Board of Medical Examiners of the state of Nevada summarily suspended the physician assistant license of Ms. Ruhl on May 28, 2010, and subsequently filed a formal disciplinary Complaint against Ms. Ruhl on June 9, 2010. On December 2, 2011, the Board of Medical Examiners considered and accepted the voluntary surrender of license offered by Ms. Ruhl. The Investigative Committee has determined that it is just and proper to dismiss, without prejudice, the aforementioned Complaint.

On December 2, 2011, the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners accepted the voluntary surrender of Ms. Ruhl's license to practice medicine in Nevada while under investigation.

The Investigative Committee of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners filed a formal complaint against Ms. Ruhl, charging her with two violations of NRS 630.306(2)(c), for engaging in conduct which is in violation of a regulation adopted by the State Board of Pharmacy; a violation of NRS 630.306(3), for administering, dispensing or prescribing any controlled substance, or any dangerous drug as defined in Chapter 454 of NRS, to or for himself or herself or to others except as authorized by law; and a violation of NRS 630.3062(1), for failure to maintain, timely, legible, accurate and complete records relating to the diagnosis, treatment and care of a patient.

The Investigative Committee of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners summarily suspended Ms. Ruhl's license to practice as a physician assistant until further order of the Investigative Committee or the Board.
