The Investigative Committee of
the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners filed a formal complaint against
Dr. Chancellor charging him with 2 counts of malpractice and 1 count of
repeated malpractice. |

6/17/1998 |
|
At its meeting on June 6, 1998, the
Board found Dr. Chancellor guilty of the charges in the complaint and ordered
that his license to practice medicine in the state of Nevada be revoked. |

3/16/1999 |
In response to a Petition for Judicial
Review filed by Dr. Chancellor in the
Clark County District Court of the Board's
order revoking his license, the
District Court ordered that the Board retry
Dr. Chancellor within a certain
period of time. Prior to any re-trial, the
Board entered into a Stipulation for
Settlement with Dr. Chancellor in which: 1)
he plead that he admits the
allegations in case no. 98-5652-2 of his
inability to practice medicine with
reasonable skill and safety because of the
use of alcohol, drugs, narcotics
or any other substance and he admits the
allegations that he rendered
professional services to a patient while he
was under the influence of
alcohol, drugs, narcotics or any other
substance; 2) there will be no hearing
on the complaint in case no. 98-5652-2; and
3) the Board ordered that Dr.
Chancellor's license be REVOKED.
NO FURTHER ACTION WAS TAKEN ON THIS CASE.

MAY 8, 1998
The Investigative Committee of the Nevada
State Board of Medical
Examiners filed a formal complaint against
Dr. Chancellor charging him
with 1 count of practicing medicine while
under the influence of controlled
substances and alleging that his license to
practice medicine in the state
of Nevada be summarily suspended as his
continuing practice of medicine
pending a hearing of this complaint would
endanger the health, safety
and welfare of his patients. The Board
ordered that Dr. Chancellor's license
be summarily suspended pending a hearing of
the complaint. |

7/07/1998 |
The Board ordered that this complaint be
dismissed without prejudice, since
Dr. Chancellor's license to practice
medicine in the state of Nevada was
revoked by the board as a result of their
finding of guilty in case no. 98-5652-1. |

12/02/1998 |
After the order of the District Court as set
out above in case no. 98-5652-1,
requiring the board to retry Dr. Chancellor
on case no. 98-5652-1, rather than
retrying that case, the Investigative
Committee of the Nevada State Board of
Medical Examiners filed a formal complaint
against Dr. Chancellor charging him
with 2 counts of practicing medicine while
under the influence of controlled
substances and alleging that his license to
practice medicine in the state
of Nevada, should he resume the practice of
medicine in the state, be summarily
suspended. The case was set for hearing for
March 18, 1999. |

3/15/1999 |
A stipulation for settlement was entered
into at which time Dr. Chancellor
admitted the allegations contained in count
one of the complaint - inability
to practice medicine with reasonable skill
and safety because of use of alcohol,
drugs, narcotics or any other substance, and
he admitted the allegations
contained in count two of the complaint -
rendering professional services to
a patient while the physician is under the
influence of alcohol or any
controlled substance, and he further
stipulated that his license to practice
medicine in the state of Nevada would be
REVOKED by the Nevada State
Board of Medical Examiners. |
