FORMAL DISCIPLINARY ACTION TAKEN BY THE NEVADA STATE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS:

The Investigative Committee of the Board filed a formal complaint
againt Dr. Lakner alleging that he renewed his license to practice
medicine in the State of Nevada by false or misleading statements
which is grounds for initiating disciplinary action.
A hearing for the matter has been set for August 7, 2001 at 10:00 am

DECEMBER 19, 2001
Dr. Lakner's Nevada medical license is REVOKED.
The Board found Dr. Lakner guilty of two violations of Chapter 630 of the
Nevada Revised Statutes in two (2) counts as follows:
Count 1. Respondent is guilty of engaging in the act of attempting to renew
a license to practice medicine by fraud or misrepresentation or by false
misleading, inaccurate, or incomplete statement a violation of
NRS 630.304(1).
Count 2. Respondent is guilty of having engaged in conduct intended to
deceive when he answered "NO" to Question number seven (7) on the
application when he was aware that California had denied him a license
to practice medicine. A violation of NRS 630.306(2) (a) .
Respondent shall pay all costs incurred by the Board in these
disciplinary proceedings within sixty days of the date of this
Order in the amount of $3,501.96.
