The Investigative Committee of the Board of Medical Examiners of the state of Nevada filed a formal complaint against Dr. Nambiar charging him with A violation of the Medical Practice Act (NRS Chapter 630), namely NRS 630.301(3), which provides that the suspension, modification or limitation of the license to practice any type of medicine by any other jurisdiction is grounds for disciplinary action. The state of California ordered a stayed revocation of Dr. Nambiar's license to practice medicine and that action taken on his California medical license constitutes a violation of NRS 630.301(3).

A Settlement, Waiver and Consent Agreement was approved and accepted by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. The Board entered its Order finding that Dr. Nambiar violated the Medical Practice Act, in that suspension, modification or limitation of his California license to practice medicine constitutes a violation of NRS 630.301(3), and the Board ordered that Dr. Nambiar's Nevada license to practice medicine be placed in a probationary status until February 9, 2010, and that he remain in compliance with the following terms and conditions: Dr. Nambiar shall comply with all the terms and conditions set forth by the California Medical Board in its Decision which became effective on February 9, 2005; he shall contact the Compliance Officer of the Board within 30 days of the acceptance, adoption and approval of the Settlement Agreement and provide information regarding the most expeditious method of contacting him; he shall sign a release of information allowing the Board to communicate with the California Medical Board regarding his compliance with the terms of his California probation or provide proof of completion of probation and reinstatement of his license without restrictions; he shall comply with all federal, state and local laws and rules governing the practice of medicine in Nevada at all times he is practicing within the state; he shall cooperate fully with the Compliance Officer, or any other designated person, in the administration and enforcement of the Settlement Agreement; and he will pay the costs and expenses of investigation and prosecution of this matter within 60days of the acceptance, adoption and approval of the Settlement Agreement.
