The Investigative Committee of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners filed a formal
complaint against Dr. Kaplan alleging substandard medical care rendered to a 61-year-old patient, and failing to provide reasonable care, skill, or knowledge ordinarily used under similar circumstances. 

DECEMBER 2, 2005
The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners found Dr. Kaplan committed malpractice for failing to use the reasonable care, skill or knowledge ordinarily used under similar circumstances in providing care or treatment to a patient, a violation of NRS 630.301(4).  The Board ordered that Dr. Kaplan receive a public reprimand, and to pay $7,002.88 for administrative costs, due within 90 days of the Board's order.
